Flextec ‘Best Cast’ Poly fly line backing is made from braided white Dacron® on Clear easy use spools, precision processed with uniform strength and diameter.

Best Cast Poly backing has Two basic purposes. The first is to fill up your reel to a suitable level so that your fly line comes to within, say, 5mm of the spool capacity.
The second, and most importantly is to stay connected when a big fish strips of all your fly line.

Flextec Best Cast Poly Backing is a high grade technically advanced backing.
Tested and re-tested to improve line lay and ensure the backing does not ‘bed in’ like inferior makes tend to do.
Available in 20lb and 30lb Strains to cover all reels and situations.
